Fatumata Kaba's triple-jump performance for the Phantoms among a deep field of NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NJCAA competition earned her Player of the Week honors from the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.
The Millersville Invitational was one for the record books for DCCC Track and Field this past weekend. The Phantoms capitalized on warm weather and a small field size at Millersville University to dominate the competition, with every participating athlete setting a personal best mark. Two athletes also qualified to compete in additional events in the NJCAA DIII National Championships in May.
Braving wind, rain, and cold this past weekend at Rowan University—and facing a deep field representing NCAA DI-DIII and fellow NJCAA schools—the Phantoms showed up ready to compete. By the end of the meet, DCCC scored points, notched a couple of top three finishes, set personal and school records, and marked an event debut.
Despite wet and chilly conditions last Saturday, Delaware County Community College continued to run hot at the Ursinus Track and Field Festival, competing alongside NCAA DIII and DII athletes at Ursinus College. The Phantoms recorded heat wins along with personal and school records while testing event waters.
