Phantoms Rally Past Mustangs

Delaware & Chester Counties, PA—Sidikie Konneh accounted for both goals on the day as the Delaware County Community College men's soccer team rallied past visiting Montgomery County Community College, 2-1, on Thursday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, the visiting Mustangs (0-3-2) broke the deadlock with a goal by Bradan Mallan off a corner almost 15 minutes into second-half play. An unassisted tally by Konneh evened the score in the 74th minute before Konneh struck again 10 minutes later, off an assist from Henry Gjergo, which proved to be the game winner. 

Victor Bussab registered three saves as the Phantoms' defense stood tall after surrendering the initial goal of the contest.

Konneh now has a team-high four goals on the season, while Gjergo's assist extends his point streak to four games.

DCCC (2-2-0) gets right back into action on Saturday as it travels to Ocean County College for a 2 p.m. contest against the host Vikings.
