DCCC Crosses Century Mark in Win Over Bergen

Chester, PA—Every Phantom scored—shooting a collective 58 percent from the field—in Delaware County Community College's high-flying 101-65 home-court victory over Bergen Community College.

"It was a great team effort," said DCCC Head Coach Dwayne Saunders. "Everyone played well and jelled together."

Point guard Darrius Best recorded his second 4x5 performance of the season with 12 points, six rebounds, five assists, and six steals. "Darrius controlled the game well, while Jabree [Martin] and Tahmeire [Manning] gave us the consistency we need," Saunders said.

DCCC's 42 percent accuracy from three was its highest mark of the season, with output led by Cameron Daut, who was 4-6 from long range. "We were excited to see Cam get in his rhythm and do some of the things we know he can do," said Saunders.

A very productive Phantoms' bench delivered 45 points and accounted for 24 of the squad's 49 rebounds. Luke Bushra posted a team-high nine boards and added 12 points.

Saturday's game marked the first triple-digit scoring effort from DCCC men's basketball since the 2022-2023 season and its first 100+ in a win since 2019-2020.

Next, the 3-2 Phantoms host Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Tuesday, November 19, at 7:00pm at FiDonce Gym (215 E 21st St, Chester, PA) in a Spirit Night game sponsored by DCCC's Student Government Association.
