Delaware County Honored Coach Larry Yarbray Before Montco Matchup

CHESTER, Pa - Delaware County Community College honored late coach Larry Yarbray before the start of their matchup against Montgomery County. Prior to tip off Head Coach Darius Gilbert and returning players; Daeshon Green, Jihad Clinkscales, and Foday Wagay shared stories of their time spent with coach Yarbray as well as sharing a moment of silence.

The Phantoms fell behind early in the first half with the Mustangs shooting over 50 percent from the field and leading 41-28 at the half. Delaware County struggled to stop the Mustang's ability to score inside, 58 of Montgomery County's 88 points came from the paint.

Diandre Green and Maurie Alexander led the Phantoms offensive effort, both finishing the game with 18 points and eight rebounds. Vincent Boykins added another ten points for the Phantoms offense that struggled overall, barely shooting over 36 percent from the floor and only scoring three points off the bench.

Delaware County is off for almost a month before its next competition on January 14^th. The Phantoms look to kick the new year off on the right foot against Lehigh Carbon Community College at home, tip off is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
